A short, unappealing, but strangely charismatic man offers to solve all of Danny’s problems on Millennium eve. What he fails to think about is the fact that the offer comes at a crossroads… at midnight. Before he knows what he’s getting into he has shaken on the deal.

This is a novella, 20,000 words, so you could happily read it in an afternoon, in a comfortable chair, with your favourite tipple. It’s written specifically to introduce you to my urban fantasy series The Hidden Masters. The story features some of the side characters from The Hidden Masters and the Unspeakable Evil and foreshadows some of the events therein. You don’t need to read it to understand the series and it can be read as a stand alone story.
