We’ve been hearing about millions using food banks in every part of the country, we can’t pay care workers for their travelling time and the NHS is falling apart.
Now we hear that it’s taken a week for us to send three helicopters to Nepal after an earthquake has devastated the country that supplies Britain with one of the most elite regiments in the British Army. We have the fifth largest defence budget in the world! Are we really so impoverished that we pick on our poor, can’t feed ourselves and can’t help the Nepalese with more than three bloody helicopters?
Can’t we have some politicians saying we will put a penny on income tax and one percent of corporation tax?
